Task One:

How does HellBlade reach its players?

- What can you find out about how the product reaches its audience?
- Is it straightforward or complex?
- Is it expensive or cheap?
- Are there mainstream methods of using the product, like Playstation, or is the game maybe just on Steam?

The primary sources  of buying HellBlade are through the Steam Store, Xbox store, Playstation Store (EU & US), Good old games, and the Humble Bundle store as well as through more 3rd party stores like G2A and Amazon. Through gathering this information, it's clear that you can buy the game in many places where you would expect to see it as it's available in all mainstream stores.

As the game has aged a few years, the price has remained the same. The game is priced at £25, which is a bargain when compared to games released yearly with an inflated price of £60 and above. The game is especially cheap when contrasted to aaa games from 2018 as Fallout 76 has an average user rating of 3.2/10 while HellBlade is rated at 9/10

The way HellBlade reaches its players is fairly straight forward. It can either be purchased face to face in brick and mortar stores like Game, downloaded through 1st party stores like Xbox and Playstation or downloaded through 2nd party stores like Good Old Games. HellBlade us purchased through delivery services like Amazon and eBay, too.

To conclude, all the ways that HellBlade: Senua's Sacrifice reaches its players are fairly regular and conventional.

Task Two:

Try to find a print or still image advert as well as a moving image advert/trailer.  Make notes on the blog on these things:

- Where is the product advertised? website/magazine etc

HellBlade: Senua's Sacrifice was seen advertised in the London Underground, on the sides of buses, and in short adverts seen on TV and Media sharing products like YouTube.

- Placing - where on the media text is it advertised

In the official trailer for HellBlade, there was a set part in the movie when the details about the video game were shows on screen. This was at the end of the video and mentioned the platforms the game was being released on and when it was being released.

- How? animation/video/print?

PlayStation released many trailers of the game on their own YouTube account.

- How does the advert target it’s audience - colour? imagery? etc

Throughout the video adverts there is bright and eye-catching visuals to attract the viewer's attention and to keep it. The trailers also gave enough away to keep people wondering without spoiling anything about the game to keep everyone thinking about the game after the trailer had ended.
